Pittsburgh City Paper Best Of Readers' Poll is a long-standing tradition in the Burgh. Locals vote on their favorite local businesses and personalities ranging from entertainment, goods and services, and more.
I worked at CP twice in my professional career, and alt-weeklies have always held a special place in my heart for offering authentic perspectives around local politics, arts, and entertainment news.
After the pandemic hit all media in a big way, I felt the pain of my CP friends as they worked hard to create a membership program and new initiatives to keep the paper alive. And in 2020, the paper hosted a drive-thru only Best Of PGH event for winners to get the awards, but couldn't offer a party for the public.
Now for 2021, Best Of PGH is back and the party is going to be epic! With a fun retro gaming theme held at the new hot spot in the Strip, Coop de Ville, featuring duckpin bowling, pinball games, and retro video games (all free for the event) this year's event is back and better than ever, and Easy Street is helping bring the event to life!
We have a City permit to block off 23rd Street from Smallman Street to Railroad for a solar powered stage featuring Best Of winners including DJs Selecta and Huny and music by Phat Man Dee.
Tickets are available now for the event on Tuesday, 10/5 from 7-10PM (winners get in an hour early!). Visit this LINK to purchase (ticket includes free gaming and complimentary food). And check out the CITY PAPER BEST OF PITTSBURGH 2021 issue that hit stands today.
